Al Phaneuf

Al Phaneuf (born 1944) is a former defensive back in the Canadian Football League. He played college football at the University of Kentucky and spent three seasons with the Montreal Alouettes from 1969 to 1971, appearing in all 42 games. His best season came in 1970, when he intercepted nine passes and was named a CFL all-star, and he intercepted two passes in Montreal's 23-10 Grey Cup victory over the Calgary Stampeders that year.
