Alex Johnson (December 7, 1942 – February 28, 2015) was a right fielder who played in Major League Baseball from 1964 to 1976, appearing for the Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, California Angels, Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, New York Yankees, and Detroit Tigers. Born in Helena, Arkansas, and raised in Detroit, Michigan, he won the American League batting title in 1970 and was named an AL All-Star that same season. He had previously earned the National League Comeback Player of the Year award in 1968. His brother Ron Johnson played as an NFL running back, most notably for the New York Giants.
