Alexander Ragulin

Alexander Ragulin was a Soviet ice hockey defenseman who played from 1957 to 1973. He began his career at Khimik Voskresensk before joining CSKA Moscow in 1962, where he won nine Soviet league championships and five consecutive European Champions Cups (1969–1973). Representing the Soviet national team in 239 games over 13 years, he won three Olympic gold medals, ten World Championship titles, and nine European Championship golds. He was named top defenseman at the 1966 World Championships. Ragulin was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 1997.
