Andy Brown

Dossier
Andrew Conrad Brown (born February 15, 1944) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who played for the Detroit Red Wings and Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL, and the Indianapolis Racers in the WHA. Brown holds the distinction of being the last goalie to play without a mask in the NHL, doing so in his final NHL appearance on April 7, 1974, and continuing barefaced through three WHA seasons — earning him the nickname "Fearless." In 1973–74, he set an NHL record for penalty minutes by a goaltender in a single season with 60. His father, Adam, also played in the NHL.
