Andy Maurer

Andrew Lee Maurer (September 30, 1948 – January 3, 2016) played offensive line in the NFL after attending the University of Oregon. Over his career he appeared with the Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints, Minnesota Vikings, San Francisco 49ers, and Denver Broncos, starting 84 of 109 regular season games and all seven playoff appearances. He reached Super Bowl IX with Minnesota and Super Bowl XII with Denver. Following his playing career, Maurer served as head football coach at Cascade Christian High School in Medford, Oregon, from 1992 to 2010. He died of cancer on January 3, 2016, at age 67.
