Andy Seminick (September 12, 1920 – February 22, 2004) was a catcher who spent the majority of his Major League Baseball career with the Philadelphia Phillies (1943–1951, 1955–1957), with a stint for the Cincinnati Reds/Redlegs from 1952 through part of 1955. Born in Pierce, West Virginia to Lemko immigrant parents, he debuted in the majors on September 14, 1943, after being purchased by the Phillies from the Knoxville Smokies. Seminick was a key contributor to the 1950 "Whiz Kids" Phillies team that won the franchise's first National League pennant since 1915.
