John Arthur Chapman (May 29, 1905 – December 31, 1962) was a Canadian ice hockey forward born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He began his amateur career with the Winnipeg Seniors in 1924 before joining the Port Arthur Bearcats, helping them win the Allan Cup in 1926. Chapman turned pro with the Springfield Indians in 1927 and entered the NHL with the Boston Bruins in 1930, later moving to the New York Americans in 1933. He earned a spot on the NHL All-Star team in 1936–37. After retiring from playing following the 1939–40 season, he coached the New York Americans from 1940 to 1942.
