John Arthur Fowler (July 3, 1922 – January 29, 2007) was a right-handed pitcher from Converse, South Carolina who spent ten years in the minor leagues before reaching the majors at age 31. He posted a 140–94 minor league record, leading the Southern Association in ERA (3.03), games pitched, and innings pitched with the Atlanta Crackers in 1953. Fowler pitched for the Cincinnati Redlegs (1954–1957), Los Angeles Dodgers (1959), and Los Angeles Angels (1961–1964). He later became a longtime pitching coach under manager Billy Martin, including four stints with the New York Yankees. His brother Jesse pitched for the 1924 St. Louis Cardinals.
