Dossier

Arthur Edward Joseph Gagné (October 12, 1896 – October 5, 1988) was a Canadian ice hockey right winger born in Ottawa, Ontario. He began his career in the Ottawa City Hockey League between 1914 and 1917, then played three seasons in Quebec City. In 1920–21 he joined the Edmonton Eskimos of the Big-4 League, later part of the Western Canada Hockey League, forming a productive partnership with centre Gordon "Duke" Keats. In 1926 he moved to the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League, where he played as a forward alongside Howie Morenz and Aurele Joliat. A scrappy player, Gagné scored 100 points over a 228-game NHL career.
