Aurelio Rodríguez Ituarte, Jr. (December 28, 1947 – September 23, 2000), nicknamed "Chi Chi," was a Mexican professional baseball player who spent the bulk of his Major League career with the Detroit Tigers. A third baseman, he began in the Mexican League in 1965–66, winning Rookie of the Year in 1966. Over 17 MLB seasons with the Angels, Senators, Tigers, Padres, Yankees, White Sox, and Orioles, he was recognized primarily for his defense. He led the majors in total zone runs in 1970, led in fielding percentage at third base in 1976 and 1978, and won the Gold Glove Award in 1976. His career 4,150 assists ranked fifth in major league history at retirement.
