Robert Hardy "Bake" Turner (born July 22, 1940) played college football as a running back at Texas Technological College before transitioning to wide receiver as a professional. He spent nine seasons in the AFL and NFL, most notably with the New York Jets, where he joined the roster in 1963 following Art Powell's trade to Oakland. Turner was a member of the Jets' AFL championship and Super Bowl III squads after the 1968 season. He also appeared for the Baltimore Colts and Boston Patriots. After football, he pursued a career as a country musician.
