"Baldy" Northcott

Lawrence "Baldy" Northcott (September 7, 1908 – November 7, 1986) was a Canadian professional ice hockey left winger who played ten NHL seasons. Born in Calgary, Alberta, Northcott spent the bulk of his career with the Montreal Maroons, earning NHL First Team All-Star honors in 1932–33 while skating on a line with Jimmy Ward and Hooley Smith. He was part of the Maroons' 1934–35 Stanley Cup championship, scoring the winning goal in two playoff games. After the Maroons folded, he finished his career with the Chicago Blackhawks, retiring after the 1938–39 season.
