Bengt-Åke Gustavsson

Bengt-Åke Gustafsson is a Swedish ice hockey forward born 23 March 1958. He began his professional career in 1973 with KB Karlskoga in Sweden's second-tier league before moving to Färjestads BK of the Elitserien. Washington drafted him in the fourth round of the 1978 NHL amateur draft. He signed with the Edmonton Oilers of the WHA in March 1979, appearing in two playoff games, then joined the Capitals for nine NHL seasons spanning 1979 to 1989. Gustafsson was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame as a player in 2003. He later served as head coach of the Swedish national team from 2005 to 2010.
