Bernardo Carbo (born August 5, 1947) was a left-handed-hitting outfielder and designated hitter who spent 12 seasons in Major League Baseball. Raised in Livonia, Michigan, he was Cincinnati's first-round pick (16th overall) in the inaugural 1965 draft, selected ahead of Johnny Bench. His first major league hit was a home run. In his 1970 rookie season Carbo hit .310 with 21 home runs, 63 RBI, and a 1.005 OPS, earning Rookie of the Year recognition from The Sporting News. He went on to play for six franchises, including two stints each with the St. Louis Cardinals and Boston Red Sox.
