Bill Borland

Bill Borland was a British ice hockey player who learned the game in Montreal after his family emigrated to Canada. He returned to the United Kingdom in 1933 and joined the Grosvenor House Canadians, helping the club win the English League championship in 1933–34. Borland was selected for the Great Britain national team at the 1934 World Championships in Milan, where he scored two goals as the squad finished eighth. He later captained the Brighton Tigers in the 1935–36 season and represented Great Britain at the 1936 Winter Olympics, playing in three games as the team won the gold medal.
