Bill Robinzine
Dossier
William Clintard Robinzine (January 20, 1953 – September 16, 1982) was a 6'7" power forward from DePaul University who spent seven seasons in the NBA between 1975 and 1982. Born in Chicago, he played for the Kansas City Kings, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, and Utah Jazz. Robinzine is perhaps best known for appearing in footage of Darryl Dawkins' backboard-shattering dunk at Kansas City's Kemper Arena on November 13, 1979. Standing under the basket when the glass exploded, Robinzine shielded his face and fled — a reaction Dawkins immortalized by naming the dunk "Robinzine Cryin'."
