"Bill" Thoms

Dossier

William David Thoms (March 5, 1910 – December 26, 1964) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who appeared in 548 NHL games across 13 seasons, skating for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Chicago Black Hawks, and Boston Bruins between 1932 and 1945. In 1935–36, Thoms tied Charlie Conacher for the NHL goal-scoring lead, though Conacher was recognized as champion by virtue of playing fewer games. Following his retirement, Thoms briefly coached the Toronto Marlboros of the Ontario Hockey Association.
