William Frederick Hoeft (May 17, 1932 – March 16, 2010) was a left-handed pitcher from Oshkosh, Wisconsin who spent 15 seasons in Major League Baseball. He came up through Oshkosh High School, where his teams won a state championship and he threw three no-hitters while winning more than thirty consecutive games. In a 1949 American Legion contest he struck out all 27 batters he faced. Hoeft stood 6-foot-3 and weighed 180 pounds. His MLB career included stops with the Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox, Baltimore Orioles, Milwaukee Braves, Chicago Cubs, and San Francisco Giants.
