Billy Joe Booth (April 7, 1940 – June 30, 1972) was an American-born Canadian football defensive end. A graduate of Louisiana State University, he was drafted by the New York Giants in the 13th round of the 1962 NFL draft. He played his entire professional career with the Ottawa Rough Riders of the Canadian Football League from 1962 to 1970, winning Grey Cup championships in 1968 and 1969. He was killed in a plane crash near Dorchester, Ontario, in 1972, when the small aircraft he was traveling in went down during a thunderstorm on a fishing trip.
