Blair MacDonald

Blair Neil Joseph MacDonald (born November 17, 1953) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who competed in the WHA and NHL from 1973 to 1983. A right wing, he came out of the Cornwall Royals of the QMJHL, where he scored 63 goals in 64 games in his final junior season. Passed over for the WHA's Alberta Oilers in favor of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, he chose Edmonton instead, going on to appear in the 1979 WHA Final with the Oilers. He served as one of Wayne Gretzky's early linemates at the start of Gretzky's NHL career, and later appeared in the 1982 Stanley Cup Finals with the Vancouver Canucks.
