Bob Avellini (August 28, 1953 – May 4, 2024) was a quarterback who played college football at the University of Maryland before being selected by the Chicago Bears in the sixth round of the 1975 NFL Draft. He spent the bulk of his professional career with Chicago from 1975 to 1984, serving primarily as a backup but earning the starting role from 1976 through 1977. In 1977 he passed for 2,004 yards, starting every game for the Bears. He finished his career with the New York Jets without appearing in a game for them.
