Robert Anthony Grich played second base in Major League Baseball from 1970 to 1986, spending his first seven seasons with the Baltimore Orioles before joining the California Angels. A six-time All-Star, Grich combined offensive and defensive excellence throughout his career, winning four consecutive Gold Glove Awards from 1973 to 1976 and a Silver Slugger Award in 1981, the same year he led the American League in home runs. He was the inaugural inductee into the California Angels Hall of Fame in 1988 and was later inducted into the Baltimore Orioles Hall of Fame in 1998.
