Bob Groom (September 12, 1884 – February 19, 1948) was born Robert and hailed from Belleville, Illinois. At 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds, he batted right-handed and threw right. He played in the major leagues from 1909 through 1918, a 9-season run, spending most of his career with the Washington Senators of the American League. He had broken in professionally in 1904 before reaching the majors. He appears on E90-1 American Caramel and T206 White Border. He died February 19, 1948 in Belleville, Illinois and is buried at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
