Harmon Clayton Killebrew Jr. (born June 29, 1936, in Idaho) was an American professional baseball player who spent the majority of his 22-year major league career with the Minnesota Twins, playing first base, third base, and left field. A right-handed power hitter, Killebrew hit at least 40 home runs in a season eight times during the 1960s and led the American League in home runs six times. He was selected to 13 All-Star teams and drove in 140 runs during his 1969 AL Most Valuable Player season. The Twins reached the World Series in 1965. Killebrew was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984.
