Robert John Kuechenberg (October 14, 1947 – January 12, 2019) played guard for the Miami Dolphins from 1970 to 1983, appearing in six Pro Bowls during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Born in Gary, Indiana, he grew up in Hobart and attended Hobart High School before reaching the NFL. Kuechenberg anchored an offensive line alongside Hall of Famers Jim Langer, Larry Little, and Dwight Stephenson, and was a perennial Pro Football Hall of Fame finalist from 2002 through 2009. He was inducted into the Miami Dolphins Honor Roll in 1995. His brother Rudy played linebacker for the Chicago Bears.
