Robert A. Martin (born November 14, 1953) is an American former football linebacker who played four seasons in the National Football League with the New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers. Born in David City, Nebraska, he played college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, earning First-Team All-America honors as a senior and repeat All-Big Eight selection. The Jets selected him in the sixth round of the 1976 NFL Draft. He started 13 games as a rookie in 1976 and all 16 games in 1978, recording interceptions in both seasons, before being claimed off waivers by the 49ers in 1979.
