Robert Ransom Rush (December 21, 1925 – March 19, 2011) was a right-handed pitcher who appeared in 417 Major League Baseball games from 1948 to 1960 with the Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Braves, and Chicago White Sox. Born in Battle Creek, Michigan, he served with General George S. Patton's Third Army in the European theatre during World War II before entering professional baseball. Rush was a National League All-Star in 1950 and 1952. He spent a decade as a starter for the Cubs, compiling 250 decisions with poor teams, and did not reach the postseason until appearing in the 1958 World Series as a Milwaukee Brave.
