Robert Edward "Solly" Solinger (December 23, 1925 – December 10, 2014) was a professional ice hockey player born in Star City, Saskatchewan. He appeared in 99 NHL games with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings. Solinger was the first recipient of the Dudley "Red" Garrett Memorial Award, given annually to the American Hockey League's rookie of the year. Over his career he won the Calder Cup five times, a mark he shares with Les Duff, Fred Glover, and Mike Busniuk.
