John Robert Tillman (1937–2000) was a right-handed catcher who played in Major League Baseball from 1962 to 1970 with the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, and Atlanta Braves. Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 205 pounds, Tillman was a Nashville native who graduated from Isaac Litton High School, where he earned Nashville Interscholastic League MVP honors in baseball in 1955, was named All-State quarterback in football, and All-District in basketball.
