Bob Wilson
Dossier
Benjamin Wilson Jr. (March 18, 1967 – November 21, 1984) was a high school basketball player from Chicago, Illinois. Raised in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side, he attended Neal F. Simeon Vocational High School and developed his game at Cole Park and in Chicago summer leagues. At the 1984 Athletes For Better Education basketball camp, scouts and coaches rated Wilson the top high school player in the United States — the first Chicago athlete to receive that distinction. Wilson died on November 21, 1984, from injuries he sustained in a shooting the previous day, at age seventeen.
