Bobby Byrne, given name Robert Matthew (December 31, 1884 – December 31, 1964). He was born in St. Louis, Missouri and died in Wayne, Pennsylvania. He weighed 145 pounds. He batted and threw right-handed. He debuted in the majors in 1907 and played his last big-league season in 1917, a stretch of 11 seasons, primarily with the Pittsburgh Pirates of the National League. His full professional career, including the minor leagues, ran from 1904 through 1922. His card presence in this catalog is on the E125 American Caramel die-cut issue of the early 1910s. He is interred at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri (Section 25).
