Robert Frank Knoop (pronounced kuh-NOP; born October 18, 1938, in Sioux City, Iowa) was a right-handed second baseman who spent nine seasons in Major League Baseball. Raised in Montebello, California, he was signed by the Milwaukee Braves in 1956 and spent seven years in the minors before reaching the majors. His best minor league season came in 1963 with the Triple-A Hawaii Islanders, where he hit .283 with 20 home runs and 67 RBI. Knoop appeared in 1,153 major league games across three franchises: the Los Angeles/California Angels (1964–69), Chicago White Sox (1969–70), and Kansas City Royals (1971–72).
