Robert Taylor III, born December 28, 1973, in Houston, Texas, played cornerback for ten seasons in the NFL after a standout college career at Notre Dame, where he earned consensus All-American honors. Philadelphia selected him in the second round of the 1995 NFL Draft, and he spent the bulk of his professional career with the Eagles before also playing for the Seattle Seahawks. At Longview High School in Longview, Texas, Taylor was a two-time Class 5A all-state selection, and he became the first Longview Lobo to have his jersey — No. 24 — retired. He was inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame in 2012.
