Boss Schmidt

Boss Schmidt (September 12, 1880 – November 14, 1932) was born Charles and hailed from London, Arkansas. At 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds, he was a switch-hitter who threw right. He played in the major leagues from 1906 through 1911, a 5-season run, spending most of his career with the Detroit Tigers of the American League. His broader professional career stretched from 1901 to 1926, bracketing his major-league years on both ends. His card record includes appearances on E92 Croft's Candy, E92 Croft's Cocoa, E92 Dockman & Sons Gum, and E92 Nadja Caramels. He died November 14, 1932 in Altus, Arkansas and is buried at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
