Russell Earl "Bucky" Dent played shortstop in Major League Baseball from 1973 to 1984, suiting up for the Chicago White Sox, New York Yankees, Texas Rangers, and Kansas City Royals. He earned two World Series rings with the Yankees in 1977 and 1978, both victories coming against the Los Angeles Dodgers, and was named World Series Most Valuable Player in 1978.
