Melville Sydney "Butch" Keeling (August 10, 1905 – November 12, 1984) was a Canadian professional ice hockey left winger who played 12 NHL seasons with the Toronto St. Patricks/Maple Leafs and the New York Rangers between 1926 and 1938. Born in Owen Sound, Ontario, Keeling developed his game locally and was a key contributor when the Owen Sound Greys captured the 1924 Memorial Cup, recording 37 goals and 46 points across 15 playoff games. His professional career began with the London Panthers before he was elevated to the Toronto St. Patricks, who renamed themselves the Maple Leafs later that same season.
