Claude Terry (born January 12, 1950, in Modesto, California) was a professional basketball player who competed in both the ABA and NBA from 1972 to 1978. A guard out of Stanford University, he averaged 20.6 points per game over his college career and earned All-Pac-8 first team honors in 1972. The Denver Rockets selected him with their first pick in the 1972 ABA Draft, and he spent four seasons in the ABA before moving to the NBA, where he played for the Buffalo Braves and Atlanta Hawks. After retiring, Terry served as a college head coach at Stanislaus State and Seattle Pacific.
