Cliff Pondexter

Cliff Pondexter is an American former professional basketball player born September 15, 1954, in Fresno, California. The 6'9" power forward attended San Joaquin Memorial High School alongside his brother Roscoe before playing college ball at California State University, Long Beach. The Chicago Bulls selected him in the first round (16th overall) of the 1974 NBA Draft, though a stress fracture in his leg delayed his debut until a fall 1975 exhibition game. Pondexter played 197 games for the Bulls between 1975 and 1978, posting career-best averages of 5.8 points and 5.1 rebounds per game in 1975–76, before the Bulls waived him in 1978. He subsequently played professionally in Europe.
