Clyde McCullough was an American Major League Baseball catcher who played from 1940 to 1956. He spent most of his career with the Chicago Cubs (1940-1943, 1946-1948, 1953-1956) and also played for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1949-1952). He missed the 1944 and 1945 seasons while serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Over 1,098 games he batted .252 with 52 home runs and 339 RBI. McCullough was a two-time All-Star, selected in 1948 and 1953, and he caught Sam Jones' no-hitter on May 12, 1955. He appeared in the 1945 World Series as a pinch hitter. His career spanned the wartime and postwar decades of the 1940s and 1950s.
