Danny Buggs (born April 22, 1953) is an American former professional football player who played wide receiver in the NFL, CFL, and USFL. A product of Avondale High School in Avondale Estates, Georgia, Buggs played college football at West Virginia University, where he earned 1973 Kodak first-team All-American honors. He holds the West Virginia school record for the longest catch from scrimmage — a 96-yard touchdown reception against Penn State in 1973 — and was the first Mountaineer to record back-to-back 100-yard receiving games. He went on to play for the New York Giants, Washington Redskins, Edmonton Eskimos, Tampa Bay Bandits, and San Antonio Gunslingers.
