Danny Villanueva

Danny Villanueva (November 5, 1937 – June 18, 2015) was a placekicker and punter of Mexican American descent who played college football for the New Mexico State Aggies before entering the NFL. He played professionally for the Los Angeles Rams and the Dallas Cowboys. At New Mexico State, he connected on seven of eight field goal attempts as a senior, including a 47-yarder, and was part of back-to-back Sun Bowl championship teams in 1959 and 1960. After football, Villanueva became a broadcasting executive and co-founded Univision, a major Spanish-language television network in the United States.
