Darrell Wayne Evans (born May 26, 1947, in Pasadena, California) was a third baseman and first baseman who played 21 seasons in Major League Baseball from 1969 to 1989. He played for the Atlanta Braves, San Francisco Giants, and Detroit Tigers. A two-time All-Star (1973 with Atlanta, 1983 with San Francisco), Evans led MLB in walks in 1973 and 1974 and posted 41 home runs in 1973. He led the majors in home runs in 1985 with Detroit and won a World Series championship with the Tigers in 1984. Evans attended Pasadena City College before reaching the majors.
