David E. Foley (born October 28, 1947) is a former NFL offensive lineman who played for the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills. A three-year starter at offensive tackle for the Ohio State Buckeyes under Woody Hayes, Foley earned consensus All-America honors in 1968 and was a three-year Academic All-American. That season Ohio State finished undefeated and claimed the consensus national championship following a Rose Bowl victory over USC. Foley was selected in the first round of the 1969 NFL/AFL Draft by the New York Jets before later being traded to Buffalo. He was inducted into the Ohio State Varsity O Hall of Fame in 1984.
