Dave Herman

David Jon Herman (September 3, 1941 – October 19, 2022) played offensive guard for the New York Jets from 1964 to 1973, spanning both the American Football League and National Football League. Born in Bryan, Ohio, he grew up in Edon and played college football at Michigan State University. Drafted by both the New York Giants (eighth round, 1963 NFL Draft) and the New York Jets (27th round, 1964 AFL Draft), he signed with the Jets. He was named to the AFL All-Star team in 1968 and 1969, and started all 14 regular season games each year from 1965 through 1968.
