Dave Kerr

Dossier
Dave Kerr (January 11, 1910 – May 11, 1978) was a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who played in the National Hockey League, appearing in over 400 games, the majority of them with the New York Rangers. He also saw NHL service with the Montreal Maroons and other clubs earlier in his career. In the 1939-40 season Kerr won the Vezina Trophy as the goaltender on the league's stingiest defense and was selected to the NHL First All-Star Team, backstopping the Rangers to the Stanley Cup championship that year. He led NHL goaltenders in games played in several seasons during the late 1930s and recorded a career goals-against average of 2.14.
