David Lawrence Nicholson (August 29, 1939 – February 25, 2023) was an American professional baseball outfielder who played for the Baltimore Orioles, Chicago White Sox, Houston Astros, and Atlanta Braves between 1960 and 1967. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he signed with Baltimore as an amateur in 1958 for a reported $105,000 bonus. A right-handed hitter standing 6-foot-2, Nicholson was known for his power, batting .298 with 35 home runs in 1959 for Baltimore's Aberdeen affiliate. In 1964, he hit a home run measured at 573 feet over the left-field roof of Comiskey Park, one of the longest in major league history.
