Dave Wickersham

David Clifford Wickersham (September 27, 1935 – June 18, 2022) was a right-handed pitcher who spent ten seasons in Major League Baseball between 1960 and 1969. Born in Erie, Pennsylvania, he attended Taylor University and Ohio University before signing with the Pittsburgh Pirates as an amateur free agent in 1955. After six years in the minor leagues, he reached the majors with the Kansas City Athletics in 1960. In 1962, he posted an 11–4 record and led American League pitchers with a .733 winning percentage. He also played for the Detroit Tigers, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Kansas City Royals during his career.
