Del Unser (born December 9, 1944) played Major League Baseball as a center fielder and utility player from 1968 to 1982. He spent time with the Washington Senators, Cleveland Indians, New York Mets, Montreal Expos, and Philadelphia Phillies, where he was part of the 1980 World Series championship team. Before turning professional, Unser starred at Mississippi State University, earning first-team All-SEC honors in 1965 and 1966 and Sporting News All-American recognition in 1966. His father, Al Unser, was a major league catcher. Mississippi State inducted Del into its hall of fame in 1997.
