Dennis Patterson is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman born January 9, 1950, in Peterborough, Ontario. He played three seasons in the NHL with the Kansas City Scouts and Philadelphia Flyers and one season in the WHA with the Edmonton Oilers between 1974 and 1980. The remainder of his career, spanning 1970 to 1983, was spent primarily in the American Hockey League. After retiring as a player, Patterson went on to work as a scout for the Philadelphia Flyers.
