Dossier

Bryant–Denny Stadium is an outdoor football stadium on the campus of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, home to the Alabama Crimson Tide of the Southeastern Conference. It opened in 1929 as Denny Stadium, named for university president George H. Denny, who served from 1912 to 1932. The Alabama state legislature added head coach Paul "Bear" Bryant's name in 1975; Bryant continued coaching the Tide through 1982. In 2024, the playing field was named Saban Field after Nick Saban, who won six national championships between 2007 and 2023. The stadium seats 100,077, ranking fourth-largest in the SEC and eighth-largest in the United States.
